Neptune by The Georgian House is based in the heart of the picturesque market town of Ludlow and is only a stone’s throw away from the famous Ludlow castle. Located on Castle Street, the Grade II listed property which was built in 1728 for a lawyer named Edward Baugh, is now home to the award-winning furniture brand Neptune.
The Property itself spans over 6,000 square foot and is 1 of 420 listed buildings in Ludlow. It’s prime location and historic appearance attracts attention of the locals & tourists 365 days of the year. Although there is limited parking on site, Castle Street car park is less than a 20 second walk from the shop itself.
Neptune is a unique team of designers, engineers and makers of furniture and accessories for the home. Its purpose is to bring beauty and happiness to homes and gardens through thoughtful design, craftsmanship and the best materials that will last a lifetime and more.
Neptune, the UK’s leading lifestyle and interiors brand, will open its latest standalone store in Ludlow in partnership with The Georgian House, Shropshire. Set in a Grade II* listed Georgian manor house built for a lawyer in 1728, the building is set back from the street behind cast-iron railings on Ludlow’s Castle Street. The historic building will offer visitors an opportunity to experience Neptune’s products first hand. The 1431 sq ft ground floor will feature a dedicated design studio, Neptune’s Suffolk and Chichester model kitchens, a flower shop, and thoughtfully designed living spaces to highlight Neptune’s breadth of products.
Working with a team of conservationists, many of the original features have been carefully preserved while renovating the building, including original panelling in some of the rooms. The store has been imagined to create a home away from home to inspire and showcase Neptune’s full range of furniture, lighting, accessories, and kitchens. Just steps from Ludlow Castle, the new store is ideally located for visitors and locals alike, and store owner Sarah Manser and team has transformed the residential areas above into three holiday lets. Each apartment will be fully decorated with Neptune products, functioning as live-in showrooms where guests are able to buy each item they see.
